EasyJet: No Go for now, says Stelios

12 April 2012

EASYJET chairman Stelios Haji-Ioannou has admitted that he will not have reached an agreement to buy rival airline Go before first-half results are announced tomorrow.

The ebullient chairman and majority owner said: 'I can categorically say that I will not recommend to the board to approve anything tonight.'

The market is expecting Go to fetch about £400m, a high price compared with the £110m British Airways obtained for it last year in a management buyout.
